PHASE I - BONE TREATMENT
Phase I Treatment is usually required to fix the underlying problem of crowded teeth. Teeth grow in crooked when they do not have sufficient space to move because of the structure of the jaw. In order to fix this problem, our doctors need to create space by expanding the bone structure by use of appliances. This creates sufficient space to move the teeth effectively and prevent teeth from crowding again. This treatment can last approximately 12-24 months. Once there is enough space to move the teeth, our doctors will evaluate the patients and continue on to braces for teeth.
